Reinstalled client and created new ID Vault issue still same

I have removed Notes client (and all associated files) and reinstalled. I have also created a new ID Vault which my id vault has been loaded up to. However I still get the same error:
25/07/2012 12:28:42 ID for 'Bob Smith' could not be authenticated in vault '' on server 'CN=DOM01/OU=Server/O=CompanyName'. 'Bob Smith' made request. Error: Note item not found on remote server
When I go through set up I use username in format Firstname Surnam
Eroor indicates to me that for soeme reason the Vault is not being found as field where I would expect to see its name is blank.
